Davisville Village

This mid-town neighbourhood exists on either side of Mount Pleasant Avenue and features one of the highest “walkability” scores in Toronto.

Many area homes were built between the 1920s and 1960s, and include single family and semi-detached, as well as row houses and new condominium developments. Historic and peaceful Mount Pleasant Cemetery, founded in 1876 and now a National Historic Site, provides residents with kilometres of peaceful walking paths and exquisite gardens.

Shoppers enjoy the unique shops of Mount Pleasant Road, a posh, colourful stretch of shops that include a cat café, a dollhouse store, imported sweets from England, antiques, pastries, pubs, and arthouse films at The Regent, one of Toronto’s oldest cinemas, first opened in 1927.
Neighbourhood families enjoy the splash pad, sports fields and farmer’s market at June Rowlands Park, and the local library is children-focused. Families and hockey enthusiasts will enjoy the newly-renovated Hodgson rink, which features two new ice pads. Nature-lovers enjoy access to the area’s natural features, including the wooded trails of Blythwood Ravine and Sherwood Park, which features a wooded off-leash dog trail.

Commuters will enjoy easy access to the Don Valley Parkway, Bayview Extension, and public transit into the downtown core. The neighbourhood will be served by the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, currently under construction.

Davisville is densely populated neighbourhood. Given an area of approximately 2.23 km2, it has a density of approximately 10,623 people per km2.
